Dr. G. Moheyuddin is a hardworking, resourceful and ambitious economist with 10 years of experience & understanding of economic theory and its practical implications. He has a professional experience of working as Economist, Research Analyst and of working on development project M&E & Management, Report writing and economics teaching/ tutoring etc. Authored one book, written various reports and published a number of research papers in reputed Economics journal.
He did Ph.D. Economics from GC University Lahore. His key areas of interest for Economic Research are Macroeconomics, Economic Growth, Development Economics, GDP fluctuations and poverty & income distribution. Furthermore, he has a very keen interest in the data science (data analysis, data analytics and big data), therefore, he is also doing many online courses on data science, statistical learning, R Programming, Python etc. The most important, in progress, courses include the “Data Science” specialization from John Hopkins University and “Data Analysis and Statistical Inference” course from Duke University.
In addition to data science courses, he done various online courses (on macroeconomic management, gender, trade, poverty, urban land use planning) from World Bank Institute (WBI), USA over the internet. In recent past, also worked as Economist in Public sector (Punjab Small Industries Corporation) and, now, working as Urban Economist. Worked as Research Analyst in Economic Affairs Division (EAD) under World Bank’s project (PSCBP).
Previously, he worked as ‘Customer Officer’ (Business Development Officer) in Khushhali Bank, which gave him a useful insight of development sector (micro-financing in rural/urban areas,) as well as the banking sector. Along with this, he has more than 5 years experience of teaching Economics to Masters and Bachelors classes along with thesis supervision of MS/ M.Phil students.
